2050. The leader of a tiny Chechen resistance movement convinces the Mafia to back a daring plan to steal a nuclear submarine from the Kola peninsula. While the Mafia-controlled general at the naval base prevents news from reaching Moscow, the terrorists escape to the North Atlantic and launch missiles against targets in the US and Western Europe. The US returns fire.
Days later, Russia, France, the UK and the US lie in ruins. France, furious at the ruthlessness of the American response, has broken off diplomatic relations with both the US and its British allies. The US has closed its London embassy over the British refusal to support further strikes. Now, they have to completely rebuild their cities and industries, and to do that, they need each other.
